Poor is Power! We are many, they are few.

It is grassroots initiative or advocacy that unites the voices of the poor and marginalized to demand fairness, justice, and accountability in government and society.

The Chairman

Redentor “RED” Lasay

He is the Founding National Chairman and President of theĀ Poor People Power Movement (PPPM), a nationwide initiative focused on representing marginalized communities, promoting poverty alleviation, and empowering citizens to participate in democratic processes.
His leadership has consistently aimed at bridging media, governance, and community needs.

Red Lasay is the President of the Sorsogon Provincial Press Club, Inc., the National Chairman/President of the Reform Global GANAP Guardians, Inc., and the Founding National Chairman/President of the Poor People Power Movement (PPPM). With his extensive background in media, broadcasting, and civic leadership, he continues to champion press freedom, social reform, and grassroots empowerment across the Philippines.

Career in Media and Broadcasting
Lasay has built a strong presence in the media industry, particularly in his home province of Sorsogon.
He currently serves as President of the Sorsogon Provincial Press Club, Inc., where he advocates for press freedom, responsible journalism, and the professional development of local media practitioners.
He was previously Chairman of the Kapisanan ng mga Brodkaster ng Pilipinas (KBP) in the region, strengthening ethical broadcasting standards.
As Station Manager of RSN-DZRS AM Radio, he has overseen news programming and community-oriented broadcasts, using radio as a platform for information, education, and public service.

Public Service and Leadership Roles
Beyond journalism, Lasay has held significant leadership and community roles:
In 2019, he served as Mangingisdang Director at the Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR5), contributing to fisheries development and fisherfolk empowerment in the Bicol Region.
He chairs and presides over the FI Supreme Executive Council of Reform Global GANAP Guardians, Inc., a national organization with reform and community-building advocacies.
